Kurdish media outlets have largely welcomed this Peshmerga woman breastfeeding her child, celebrating how the photograph captures her dual roles as a “warrior” and a “nurturer”.
The identity of this Kurdistan lioness is unknown. I just hope she and her child remain safe.

This is our very first post. Yay.
I wonder if you guys remember marbles? I remember marbles from when I was a kid and marbles were big. And heavy. We were continuously warned by adults to not even dare put a marble in our mouths.
What scared me the most about this video was learning that there’s the equivalent of 11 marbles of lead and 17 marbles of pesticides in a typical child’s body. Plus some extra ones of flame retardants, etcetera, etcetera.
Lets imagine for a second the toxic burden of 19 marbles of PCBs in a baby’s body. Terrifying, no?
